Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Limited planning to launch new iconic sports bike Honda Tourer VFR1200F model in India by the end of this year. This is very god news for the sports bike lovers that new sports bike is coming to India this year by Honda Bikes. "Honda's Indian arm will be launching the model in a CBU format and will be pricier than its existing imported bikes like Fireblade, etc," company sources said.
According to the Honda International's release, "The VFR1200F has been developed in keeping with previous VFRs; that have delivered a combination of sports and touring capabilities using the latest technologies. This motorcycle is however brand new: A clean-sheet interpretation of the ultimate road-sport machine - a concept driven by extensive understanding of customer needs and the adoption of state-of-the-art technologies."
Honda Tourer VFR1200F was revealed at the Tokyo Auto Show last year. Honda Tourer VFR1200F model currently manufactured in Japan and it will ready to ship at the end of 2010. Honda VFR1200F model has 1237cc 76-degree design which flaunts latest Honda innovations. The model is powered by Unicam valvetrain, developed on the CRF450R motocrosser, with a four-valve head and flatter, more efficient combustion chamber.Honda Tourer VFR1200F bikes expected to be priced around Rs. 20,00,000. Honda will look to sell as many as this model to increase sports bike riders in Indian roads.
