On Peking motor show Volkswagen will show the modernised version flagman model Phaeton. The representation car which has not got a great popularity in the updated, monumental image, probably, will seem more attractively to buyers of large premium-sedans. German designers have considerably changed style of a front part in the spirit of latest models VW, only instead of black plastic the radiator enclosure is completely executed in chrome. Behind restyling version have new light-emitting diode flashlights.

In interior changes less. Wheel has received the updated blocks of command keys automobile systems, the liquid crystal screen on a metre panel became larger, and the navigating system of Phaeton the first among all Volkswagens has got support Google Maps.

As before, the main advantages of the Phaeton is a presence of an all wheel drive and a pneumosuspender already in the base version. The choice of engines has not changed: 3-litre diesel V6, 3,2-litre petrol V6, and also V8 in volume 4,2 l and 6-litre W12. Besides a base body (5,06) the version extended on 12 sm is offered.

The motor show in Paris will open only in half a year, however, already now clearly, what cars there will be shown. And the most important premiere of Paris should become new Volkswagen Passat – Germans already have almost finished creation of this model, and its sales can begin this autumn!

Volkswagen Passat following generation will keep the general proportions of a body, however, car "muzzle" will receive absolutely new design. It will be made approximately in the same style, as at last generation Polo or Touareg.

Surprises and under a cowl expect us. So, the unit in volume 1,2 l becomes the base engine for Passat. It will give out 105 h.p. Someone, of course, will tell that 1,2 l for Passat are ridiculous. But do not forget that now Passat has the motor capacity only 102 h.p. (the atmospheric unit in volume 1,6). Thus the engine in volume of 1,2 l not only is more powerful on 3 h.p., it still possesses also the best twisting moment – 175 Nm against 148 Nm at the unit in volume of 1,6 l.

Volkswagen, at last, has published the first drawings of a new sedan which will be issued at factory in Kaluga. This car is created specially for the Russian market, and its price will make an order 440 000 rubles for model in a base complete set. For comparison, now the cheapest car of mark Volkswagen (it is a question about new Polo) costs from 472 000 rubles.

Thus the sedan which will be constructed, by the way, on platform Polo, will appear much more largely a hatchback. According to Frank Vittemann, the head of mark Volkswagen in Russia, according to company preliminary plans, sale of a new sedan will begin this autumn (then the prices will be declared also). However, mister Vittemann has underlined at once – while it is preliminary plans. For Volkswagen will not begin serial release of the car, manufacture will not be completely debugged yet. «Engineers for us go on the first place. If they tell that everything is all right – then we will begin sale. If will tell that it is necessary to wait – we will wait. But while all goes according to plan», - has declared Frank Vittemann.
